How it works
Pub Run Clubs is about the group run, not the training plan. You run with your club, you finish at a pub, and the app keeps the record: who turned up, how far you went, and which pubs you've ticked off together.
1. Find or start a club
Browse clubs near you, join with a code, or start your own. Clubs can be open to anyone or approval-only, and pubs can run their own club too.
2. RSVP to a club run
Every club run has a time, a meeting point, a distance and — the important bit — the pub you're finishing at. Say you're going so the organiser knows numbers.
3. Log the run, three ways
By hand — type in the distance and time.
From a screenshot — upload the summary screen from any watch or running app and the numbers fill themselves in.
From Strava — if you've connected Strava and you ran a club run you'd RSVP'd to, that one activity appears on your home screen ready to import in a tap. Nothing is imported without you tapping, and we never post anything to Strava.
4. Tick off the pub
The pub at the end of the run joins your collection and appears on your club's pub map. That collection is the thing this app is really for.
5. Climb the club boards
Miles, elevation, pubs visited, runs attended and a long list of badges — all scored on club participation rather than training performance.
6. Keep it on your home screen
Add Pub Run to your phone's home screen and it opens full screen like a normal app — and on iPhone that's the only way notifications reach you. Here's how.
A note on the pub bit. Pub Run Clubs is 16+, and nobody has to drink. Plenty of members finish with a coffee or a soft drink — the point is the group, not the pint. If you do drink, please drink responsibly.
